July 2017 isn’t far. Game of Thrones season 7 isn’t far. Today we’ll be documenting a thorough breakdown of what has happened so far and what is going to happen—as per our predictions. Nothing like knowing your favorite show a little more intimately albeit through spoilers!
The North :
The much revered Jon Snow won the throne in season 6 by successfully battling Ramsay Bolton in the Battle of Bastards. Sansa Stark, Baelish and his Knights of Vale took his side to ensure the win was sealed. However, the win did come with a cost. The season finale did see Baelish pitting Sansa against Jon Snow.
Predictions: Set photographs featuring Snow shaking hands with Lannister have surfaced lately. They unfailingly indicate an alliance of sorts between Snow and Targaryen.
In other news, Sophie Turner has already confirmed that she is going to the final sprint – season 8 – which means that her character Lannister will survive all odds in game of thrones season 7 online.
King’s Landing :
The 6th season of game of thrones wrapped up with Cersei Lannister killing her enemies in green fireball at the Great Sept of Baelor. The heinous act led Lannister’s son to commit suicide through self-defenestration. Jaime Lannister was seen arriving with Jerome Flynn just to watch Cersei’s coronation.
Predictions: Jaime’s cold look to his sister sparks obvious rumors of a possible rift in their future relationship. There are strong suggestions of Lannister joining forces with pissy Iron Islander Euron Greyjoy (Pilou Asbaek).
Pyke in the Iron Islands :
Salt and Rock received its new king in the form of Euron Greyjoy, uncle of Theon and Yara. He made his way to the throne by murdering his brother. Yara and Theon had escaped with his fleet when he became the king.
Predictions: Yara and Theon are shown sailing towards Daenerys. Cersei and Euron are poised to collaborate perhaps with Euron taking on his niece and nephew. One of them will be killed in a raging sea battle. Cersei’s own troops might be involved as well.
The Citadel of Old town :
At the end of game of thrones Season 6 Samwell Tarly and Gilly were left in the capital of maesters order, which is the treasure trove of written knowledge in all of the Westeros. Commander Jon Snow had sent Sam there so that he could be exposed to the kind of knowledge it has to offer. Sam was also found wielding his father’s (Valyrian) sword.
Predictions: Sam and Gilly will have to leave Oldtown at some point or the other and be at the forefront of the main action. Once again set photos have shown them shooting in the snow- which indicates that they will be returning to the North to team up with Snow.
The Riverlands, from the Twins to Riverrun :
Arya had murdered Walder Frey at the Twins. Additionally, the season 7 also featured the resurgence of the Hound who joined forces with the Brotherhood without Banners. Together they headed north to take on the White Walkers.
Predictions: Brienne of Tarth and Podrick, her loyal squire didn’t go anywhere in the previous season and are poised to make a comeback this season. There won’t be any changes in relationship between the Hound and Brotherhood.
There are various theories surrounding Arya. Sahe might be on her way to see Sansa and Jon or reunite with Nymeria. David Bradley might make a comeback as well.
The Narrow Sea passage to King’s Landing :
The most dramatic encounter of the previous season featured Targaryen plundering large fleets of ships after killing their masters at Astapor. She is sailing with around 100,000 Dotharki screamers and their horses.
There are strong suggestions that she may be successful in involving Cersei’s army at King’s landing.
Beyond the Wall :
Bran, besides losing his bosom companion Hodor also learnt that Jon Snow is actually the son of Lyanna Stark and Rhaegar Targaryen. The young Stark assumes the role of the Three-Eyed raven and is eager to pass on the information about White Walker’s roots to Jon.
Bran, on the other hand, had already been touched and marked by undead Night King. It happened in one of his visions. This has led to suggestions that Bran might bring down the Wall in game of thrones season 7- though there are no strong sources substantiating the same.
